Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Joiner/Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. Duties
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials with precision using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Construct frameworks for walls, floors, roofs, and other structural components in accordance with project specifications
- Install doors, windows, cabinetry, roofing components, and finish carpentry elements with attention to detail
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to support construction activities
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on existing structures including masonry, roofing, plumbing connections, and electrical fixtures where applicable
- Assist with construction painting tasks to ensure surfaces are prepared and finished to high standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining safety standards
Experience
- Proven experience in carpentry or joinery within the construction or building industry
- Skilled in fabrication and assembly of wooden structures using various hand tools and power tools
- Familiarity with roofing techniques including installation and repair processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during material handling tasks
- Basic knowledge of plumbing systems, masonry work, electrical experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Prior experience working on construction sites with adherence to safety protocols is essential
- Strong understanding of construction painting techniques and finishing details
