Our Opportunity
The GP/Nurse Assistant will work closely with the rota team to support the effective organisation and management of clinical workload across Shore Medical. This role will provide essential administrative and operational support in managing clinical ledgers, coordinating GP leave, and ensuring the smooth reallocation of clinical work, enabling GPs to focus on patient care.
Job Type: Permanent Part-time
Hours: 30 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 13:30 6 hours per day)
Key Responsibilities
Rota and Workload Support
- Support the rota team in day-to-day management of GP schedules
- Assist with maintaining accurate clinical ledgers and records
- Support managing GP leave requests, ensuring appropriate cover is arranged
- Support the reallocation of clinical work during periods of absence or high demand
- Help to ensure rotas are updated in a timely and accurate manner
Administrative Duties
- Maintain clear records of annual leave, study leave, and other absences
- Ensure communication of rota changes to relevant staff
- Liaise with GPs and the rota team to resolve scheduling queries
- Provide general administrative support to the rota team as required
About You
- Previous administration experience is essential
- To be able to prioritise and manage own workload
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Experience in an NHS/Primary Care background is desirable
