About the Role
David Blackwell Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established steelwork and metalwork company based in Rosewell.
We are seeking an experienced Site Steel Fitter / Team Leader to lead a small installation team and carry out high-quality steelwork and metalwork installations across a variety of projects throughout Scotland.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who takes pride in their work, can lead by example, and enjoys working on varied and interesting projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading a team of up to 3 operatives on site
- Installing structural steelwork
- Fitting staircases, balustrades, handrails and fencing
- Installing architectural and bespoke metalwork
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
- Liaising with site managers and clients when required
- Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
Requirements
Previous experience as a Site Steel Fitter
Experience supervising or leading a small team
Ability to read and work from technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
CSCS Card (preferred)
Full UK Driving Licence
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
