We are currently seeking a compassionate, patient, and skilled SEN Teacher to join a secondary school in Newport.
As an SEN Teacher with Zen Educate, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with challenging behaviours, developing and implementing behaviour intervention plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to foster positive behaviour and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess student behaviour and develop individualised behaviour intervention plans.
- Implement evidence-based behavioural strategies in the classroom and other school settings.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed to improve outcomes.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, school psychologists, and other professionals to create a cohesive support system for students.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students, helping them to develop social skills, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of student behaviour and intervention outcomes.
- Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities.
Requirements:
- Must Have a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- DBS on the update service
- EWC Registered
- Knowledge of evidence-based behavioural interventions and strategies.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to working with students with diverse needs.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in challenging situations.
