Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team. This role involves delivering excellent service to our guests, assisting with food and drink orders, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, good organisational skills, and previous experience in catering or restaurant environments. Responsibilities
- Serve food and beverages efficiently and courteously to guests
- Take orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen or bar staff
- Assist with food preparation and presentation as required
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the service areas
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Set up tables, organise dining areas, and clear after service
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest needs promptly
- Support barista duties, including preparing coffee and other beverages when needed
- Assist in catering events or special functions as required
Skills
- Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality roles is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Experience in food preparation or working in a restaurant environment is advantageous
- Barista experience is desirable but not essential
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A positive attitude with a genuine interest in delivering exceptional guest service
