As Senior IT Support Engineer based at our site in Saintfield, 20 minutes from Belfast, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and infrastructure enabling us to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
Job Purpose
This role is ideal for an experienced, proactive and solutions-focused Senior IT Support Engineer who enjoys taking ownership, improving systems and supporting people across the business. The Senior IT Support Engineer will play a key role in ensuring IT services are reliable, secure and effective, while helping the wider business work more efficiently and confidently.
The person in this role will take ownership of core IT systems and infrastructure, supporting strong system performance, availability and security across the business. They will provide practical technical guidance to users, act as the main point of contact for external IT service providers, support the ongoing development of the Intact ERP system. This role will contribute to clear, cost-effective technology solutions that support business needs.
Scope and Responsibilities
- Manage and support day-to-day IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, devices, Microsoft 365, security systems and cloud services.
- Provide senior-level technical support to users across the business, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and professionally.
- Maintain IT assets, licences, user accounts, permissions and system documentation.
- Support the administration, maintenance and improvement of the Intact ERP system.
· Provide assistance with ERP user access, roles, reporting, system queries, testing, upgrades and process improvements.
- Liaise with external IT providers, ERP consultants and software vendors to manage support issues, renewals and system enhancements.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve IT systems, business processes, reporting, automation and user experience.
- Support cyber security best practice, including access control, backups, endpoint protection, MFA and data security.
· Support and contribute to IT and business systems projects, including upgrades, software rollouts, integrations and process change.
- Work with senior management and department heads to understand business requirements and deliver practical IT solutions.
Essential Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in a senior IT support, infrastructure, systems administration or business systems role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows environments, networking, hardware, software and cloud-based systems.
- Experience supporting an ERP system.
- Good understanding of cyber security, backups, access control and IT governance.
- Ability to document systems, processes and procedures clearly.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to support technical and non-technical users.
- Able to work independently, take ownership and manage competing priorities.
Desirable Experience
- Experience in a multi-site, distribution, logistics, wholesale, retail or manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting finance, stock, warehouse, purchasing or sales order processing systems.
- Project delivery experience, including system upgrades, migrations or process improvement initiatives.
- Exposure to IT strategy, supplier management, cyber security frameworks or IT budgeting.

Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will bring:
· A relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is desirable, although equivalent experience will also be considered.
· Proven experience in a similar IT systems role, with strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, support and business systems.
