Delivery Driver duties and responsibilities
Delivery Drivers make sure the products arrive at their destination on time and in good condition. Other duties and responsibilities for this position include:
- Loading and unloading vans
- Delivering parcels and goods to customers on designated routes
- Maintaining regular communication with route dispatchers
- Review deliveries with recipients to ensure they’re accurate
- Obtaining delivery confirmations from customers
- Cleaning and servicing the van for the next delivery
Delivery Driver skills and qualifications
Delivery Drivers must be courteous and prompt with a commitment to providing customers with a pleasant experience. They must be thorough in making sure products are properly delivered, passionate about making clients satisfied and committed to work safety. A successful Delivery Driver candidate will have various prerequisite skills and qualifications that typically include:
- Good eyesight and hearing
- Good timekeeping skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Friendly and professional demeanour
- Ability to work with little supervision
- Full UK driving licence with a maximum of six points
- Minimum of three years driving experience
Job Type: Contract
Pay: Up to £140.00 per day
