We are seeking a reliable and flexible Van Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will carry out same-day and next-day deliveries, airfreight collections, and general courier work across the UK. A company van is provided, so no vehicle of your own is required. This role is ideal for a driver who is punctual, presentable, and comfortable working independently, with flexibility around start and finish times. Candidates local to the Heathrow / Slough / Colnbrook area are preferred.
Duties
- Safely operate company vans (MWB, LWB, and Luton) for same-day and next-day deliveries to clients across the UK.
- Carry out airfreight collections and deliveries at Heathrow and surrounding cargo agents.
- Load, unload, and handball goods with care, ensuring cargo is properly secured during transit.
- Obtain proof of delivery (signatures/photos) and verify delivery details on every job.
- Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle checks and report any maintenance or damage issues promptly.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries and mileage.
- Communicate professionally with the office and clients regarding job status, ETAs, or any delays.
- Follow all road safety regulations and company procedures, including secure handling of high-value goods.
Skills & Requirements
- Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points (required for our insurance).
- Aged 21+ (insurance requirement).
- Previous van driving or courier experience preferred but not essential — reliability matters more.
- Physically capable of loading, unloading, and handballing goods.
- Flexible with working hours — some early starts, late finishes, and occasional weekend work.
- Good communication skills and a professional, customer-focused attitude.
- Able to work independently with strong punctuality and reliability.
- Knowledge of the Heathrow area and cargo terminals is an advantage.
- ADR certification is a bonus but not required.
Pay: £85.00 per day
