Job Title: SIA Door Supervisor | Security Officer
We are looking for professional, reliable and customer-focused SIA Licensed Door Supervisors/Security Officers to join our growing team. This is a flexible role offering a variety of assignments across pubs, bars, licensed venues, football stadiums, festivals, concerts, racecourses, corporate events, exhibitions and other public or private events requiring security services.
As the face of our organisation, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment while delivering excellent customer service. Successful candidates must demonstrate professionalism, integrity, confidence and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Whether working independently or as part of a team, you will ensure the safety of clients, visitors, staff and members of the public while enforcing venue policies and responding appropriately to incidents.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify any suspicious activity or safety hazards.
- Provide a professional security presence at assigned venues and events.
- Control access and egress points, checking identification where required.
- Conduct searches in accordance with venue procedures and legal guidelines.
- Monitor crowd behaviour and manage queues safely and professionally.
- Prevent anti-social behaviour, violence, theft and unauthorised access.
- Resolve conflicts using effective communication and conflict management techniques.
- Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies and alarm activations.
- Liaise with venue management, event organisers, emergency services and police when necessary.
- Complete accurate incident reports and shift documentation.
- Patrol assigned areas to identify and minimise potential risks.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.
- Protect company assets, staff and members of the public at all times.

Essential Requirements
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service approach.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Good conflict management and de-escalation skills.
- Professional appearance and attitude.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Qualifications
- First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid qualification.
- Previous experience in the security industry.
- Spectator Safety qualification.
- CCTV Licence (advantageous but not essential).
- Experience working at sporting events, festivals or licensed venues.
Skills Required
- Proven experience or training in surveillance techniques and CCTV operation.
- Strong understanding of loss prevention methods and security best practices.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.
- First aid certification is highly desirable to provide immediate assistance during incidents.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail for identifying potential threats or hazards.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting incidents clearly and professionally.
- Organised with the ability to complete detailed reports accurately.
This role is vital for maintaining a safe environment and requires a dedicated individual committed to vigilance and professionalism at all times.
Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
