About the Role:
This is a full-time position with a great work-life balance, including:
- 1 in 6 weekends (daytime only)
- Shared rota to cover night nurse holidays (max 7 nights per year)

Who We’re Looking For:
- A qualified and registered Veterinary Nurse
- Someone who is enthusiastic, compassionate, and a great team player
- A nurse who takes pride in delivering excellent patient and client care
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during consultations, examinations, and surgical procedures
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinary team
- Monitor anaesthetic and post-operative recovery of animals
- Collect samples for laboratory testing and prepare specimens for analysis
- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient files accordingly
- Provide pre- and post-operative care instructions to pet owners
- Support laboratory work including sample processing and analysis
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of clinical areas and equipment
- Educate pet owners on general animal health, nutrition, and preventative care
Skills
- Prior veterinary experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with clinical procedures and animal handling
- Laboratory experience is advantageous, particularly in sample collection and processing techniques
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and clinical tasks
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and pet owners
- Compassionate approach with a genuine interest in animal welfare
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to varying workload demands in a busy veterinary environment
