Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional restaurant and Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining high standards of service. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, engaging with customers, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar environment is preferred, along with a solid understanding of food safety and guest service principles. Responsibilities
- Serve a wide range of beverages including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in a friendly and efficient manner
- Take orders from guests accurately and process payments using the POS system
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area and outside tables in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Prepare garnishes, mix drinks, and assist with basic food preparation when required
- Engage with guests to enhance their experience through friendly conversation and upselling of menu items
- Ensure responsible alcohol service by monitoring guest behaviour and adhering to licensing laws
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Assist in setting up and closing down the bar at the start and end of each shift
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant, or bar service is desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service regulations
- Strong customer service skills with an approachable manner
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Good time management skills to manage multiple tasks during busy periods
- Kitchen or culinary experience is a bonus but not essential
- Proven ability to upsell menu items to maximise sales potential
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
