The role in one paragraph
R44 Performance is a fast growing BMW parts specialist based in Wembley, London. We're bringing our finance team up by adding another amazing member. You'll own the day-to-day money movement of the business, supplier payments, customer collections, cash position, invoice discipline and you'll grow into a senior finance role as the business scales. If you're an ambitious early-career accountant who wants a proper career path and real ownership from day one, this is the seat.
What you'll do
· Manage the accounts payable run: process supplier invoices, schedule payments, execute daily payment runs across GBP, USD and EUR.
· Manage accounts receivable: chase overdue customer accounts, resolve disputes, reconcile receipts against invoices.
· Produce a daily cash position across all bank accounts, cards and payment platforms, and flag any credit-limit or float risks early.
· Own the accounts inbox and act as first point of contact for suppliers, customers and internal colleagues on billing and payments.
· Reconcile bank feeds, card statements and e-commerce payouts into the accounting system.
· Support month-end close: prep the numbers for our senior accountant and tax partner to review.
· Produce a weekly cash flow snapshot for the MD every Friday, and flag any exposures ahead of time.
· Continuously improve the process, you'll find things that aren't working and be trusted to fix them.
What we're looking for
You'll thrive here if you have:
· 3 - 5 years experience in an accounts or bookkeeping role, ideally within a small or medium-sized business.
· AAT part-qualified, currently studying, or ready to start the studies with our support.
· Solid confidence with Excel and Xero (or a similar cloud accounting platform).
· Comfortable working across multiple currencies and payment platforms.
· Sharp attention to detail, especially with numbers, dates and reconciliations.
· Good written communication, you'll be sending payment confirmations, chasing suppliers and writing supplier statements every week.
· An ambitious, hands-on mindset. You want to build the finance function with us rather than plug into an existing one.
Nice to have
· Experience in e-commerce, automotive, or aftermarket parts.
· Familiarity with Shopify, Airwallex, Dext or similar receipt-capture tools.
· Some exposure to multi-entity or international finance work.
