Olympia Electrical Ltd is seeking a motivated and reliable Electrician to join our growing team. We work across domestic, commercial and industrial sectors, delivering high-quality electrical installations, maintenance, testing, fault finding and renewable energy solutions.
The successful candidate will take pride in producing work to a high standard, demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and represent the company professionally on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical installations in domestic, commercial and industrial environments.
- Undertake maintenance, repairs and fault finding on electrical systems.
- Complete electrical testing, inspection and certification in accordance with current regulations.
- Install and commission
- Lighting and emergency lighting.
- Power and distribution systems.
- Consumer units and distribution boards.
- Fire alarm and detection systems where required.
- Solar PV systems, battery storage and EV charging equipment (training provided where necessary).
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
- Ensure all work complies with BS 7671, Building Regulations and company procedures.
- Complete job documentation accurately using digital or paper-based systems.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Liaise professionally with customers, contractors and other trades.
- Support apprentices and less experienced members of the team where appropriate.
Requirements
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
- AM2 qualification.
- ECS Gold Card.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Good fault-finding ability.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
- Inspection and Testing (2391 or equivalent).
- Experience with solar PV, battery storage or EV charging installations.
- IPAF, PASMA or other relevant certifications.
