We’re one of Scotland’s top security and fire safety specialist companies, and we’re looking for a talented, experienced engineer to join our busy team.
This field based post will involve both installation and routine service work by efficiently managing and executing pre planned works, throughout the central belt.
You’ll achieve this by having :
- Proven experience in Fire or Security installation skills
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across multiple systems
- knowledge of accreditation frameworks - i.e. NSI
- Excellent communication skills - both colleagues and customers
- Ability to manage workload and stock
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Duties:
- Using test equipment to verify connections, signals, etc.
- Following instructions and working to complete within schedule.
- Keeping supplies ready and maintaining a healthy, tidy vehicle stock.
- Understanding and working to current NSI & BS regulations.
- Maintaining a safe and secure work environment.
- Accurate recording of results and findings using software
- Planning and installing of equipment, etc.
- Participation in the on-call rota
- Excellent customer care and communication
- Client confidentiality.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Experienced installer
- Fire or Security Apprenticeship or other similar skills
- Strong Technical skills
- Logical thinker with excellent attention to detail
- Computer literate - use of mobile/PDA/computers
- Good verbal and communication skills
- Responsible and conscientious attitude
- Driving licence
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £24,600.00-£45,000.00 per year
Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
- Fire / Security Alarm Engineers: 1 year (required)
