Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food production.
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain consistency and quality.
- Manage menu development in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative ideas.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen.
- Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and control wastage to optimise operational efficiency.
- Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a positive team environment focused on professional growth.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of food costs, waste, and inventory for reporting purposes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory culinary role within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Extensive knowledge of food production, preparation techniques, and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent understanding of food safety standards and regulations.
- Demonstrated capability in menu planning, cost control, and stock management.
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable.
