Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant/Carer to provide regular support to a 27 year old who requires help with life skills and personal development. This also involves planned visits - by train or by car. The successful candidate will be proactive, empathetic, and committed to promoting independence and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental health and overall happiness
- Help with household tasks including shopping, meal preparation and best practice household management.
- Drive clients safely to appointments, errands, or social activities using a reliable vehicle
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, including updates on health status and any changes in needs
- Communicate effectively with family members, healthcare teams, and other caregivers to coordinate care efforts
Skills
- Valid driving license with experience in safe driving practices
- Experience working in home care services, particularly on a 121 basis.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in using IT devices for record keeping or communication purposes
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy, patience, and professionalism
This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to provide high-quality personal care while fostering independence.
Pay: £192.00 per week
