Overview
We are seeking SIA Licensed Door Supervisors for vigilant and professional Events Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors during various events. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, a calm demeanour, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting, providing essential security services at high-profile or public gatherings.
Duties
- Monitor event venues using surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to identify potential security threats or irregular activities.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access and ensure all areas are secure.
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing crowd behaviour and preventing theft or vandalism.
- Respond promptly to any incidents or emergencies, providing first aid if necessary and liaising with emergency services when required.
- Enforce venue policies and procedures, including access control and crowd management protocols.
- Maintain detailed incident reports and communicate effectively with event organisers and law enforcement agencies as needed.
- Assist with entry screening procedures, including bag checks and verifying tickets or credentials.
Qualifications
- SIA License Door Supervision
- Prior experience in security or surveillance roles is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and surveillance techniques is advantageous.
- Certification in first aid or emergency response is preferred.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to recognise potential security risks swiftly.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and specialised event times.
- A professional attitude with a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.
This position is paid and offers an engaging environment where your vigilance contributes directly to the success of our events while ensuring everyone's safety.
Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
