SVQ 3/SCQF level 7 - Health and Social Care or SSSC approved equivalent is essential for the role
· Full time
· £26,971 (£14.82 per hour)
· Based in Kirkintilloch working in East Dunbartonshire locality (Driving license and access to a vehicle is essential)

Role
An exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that work to change the landscape of mental health and wellbeing. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will work as part of the core team to deliver person centred and recovery focused support to enable vulnerable adults experiencing mental ill health, to achieve positive outcomes. You will be able to develop a positive rapport with people, assist them to recognise and develop their individual strengths and skills to promote their sense of wellbeing and give them greater hope for the future.
EDAMH is a voluntary third sector organisation and charity which have been providing a community-based service in East Dunbartonshire since 1999, to support people to manage and improve their mental health and wellbeing.
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone who wants to make a real difference and is passionate about transforming the lives of people who are experiencing mental health difficulties.
Skills
- Planning and delivering individual, person-centred support
- Clear understanding of the issues experienced by people with poor mental wellbeing
- Clear understanding of Safeguarding and Risk assessment procedures
- Ability to demonstrate a caring attitude with excellent listening and communication skills
- Ability to deliver and evaluate person centred and recovery focussed support
- Clear communication and interpersonal skills, verbal and written
- Ability to work flexibly
- Understanding of the voluntary sector structure
- Understanding of equal opportunities and commitment to anti-discriminatory practice
Experience
- Supporting people who are experiencing mental ill health
- Safeguarding and Risk assessment
- Planning and delivering individual, person-centred support
- Groupwork delivery
- Effective partnership, networking and stakeholder engagement
