Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to animals in our facility, ensuring their health and well-being while maintaining a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals, and a strong commitment to their wellbeing. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to handle various tasks associated to animal care. You must be able to work in a small team & alone. Some experience working with dogs would be beneficial but full training will be given.
Duties
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising dogs.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and other animal housing facilities.
- Monitor the health and behaviour of animals, reporting any concerns to the manager.
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge related to animal care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in animal care is preferred but not essential, full training will be provide.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
- A genuine passion for animal welfare and an understanding of their needs.
- Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Able to work in outdoor environments .
- Punctual & Reliable.
- Own car essential due to location of workplace
- Working hours 7:30 - 4:30 (weekdays/weekends)
Pay: £12.71 per hour
