We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Officer to safeguard our premises, staff, and assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through vigilant surveillance and proactive loss prevention measures. Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for suspicious activity or security breaches
- Operate CCTV systems to oversee various areas and ensure continuous surveillance coverage
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing and deterring theft or unauthorised access
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including providing first aid when necessary
- Maintain detailed logs of security activities, incidents, and observations
- Enforce company policies and procedures relating to security protocols
- Liaise with law enforcement or emergency services as required
- Assist visitors and staff by providing directions or information while maintaining security standards
Experience
- Prior experience in security or surveillance roles is preferred but not essential; comprehensive training will be provided
- Knowledge of CCTV systems and surveillance techniques is desirable
- Basic first aid certification is advantageous; training can be offered if needed
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail in monitoring environments
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to document incidents accurately

What will you be doing on site
You will be working on a quiet site station just within the glasgows east end the site is completely closed off from the public and you will be working in a team of 5 to secure the premises whilst doing so you will have to monitor cctv equipment there's no management on the site but there's supervisers that come around every few hours
Pay: From £15.67 per hour
