Job Summary
Blackleaf Build are seeking an experienced and proactive Working Foreman to join our growing Team, working on various construction projects and high end residential properties. This is a hands on role for someone who is passionate and takes pride in their craft, works well independently and within a Team.
The ideal Candidate will have a strong background in multiple trades including carpentry, joinery and roofing, 1st and 2nd fix works and setting out steel works, must be willing to work on tools while overseeing your team.
You will have the ability to engage and lead your Team to deliver the highest standards of work while building positive relationships with clients and suppliers.
Successful candidate will be required to start as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to ensure safe and effective work practices.
- Coordinate project tasks such as carpentry, joinery, roofing, plumbing, masonry, and electrical installations.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and construction plans accurately.
- Assist with heavy lifting and ensure proper handling of materials to prevent injuries.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure work meets specified standards and client expectations.
- Organise workflow schedules to optimise productivity and meet project deadlines.
- Provide technical guidance and training to team members on various trades and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors as necessary to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Represent our Brand professionally.
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, joinery, roofing.
- Strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Experience in construction painting is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Good understanding of health & safety regulations within the construction industry.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in carpentry are preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to project challenges.
- Ability to communicate clearly with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
- Hold a full driving licence is desirable.
