Glenholme Specialist Healthcare is looking for an experienced and passionate Deputy Manager to join our team at Nutley Avenue, our specialist supported living service in Saltdean, Brighton.
Nutley Avenue supports adults with learning disabilities within a supported living environment, with a strong focus on promoting independence, developing life skills and supporting the people we work with to be actively involved in their local community.

Nutley Avenue is a specialist supported living service located in Saltdean, Brighton, providing support to adults with learning disabilities.
The service is designed to provide a comfortable and supportive home environment while enabling the people we support to maintain as much independence as possible. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team to help individuals develop their confidence, life skills and ability to make their own choices.

- Work alongside the people we support and their families, supporting individuals to make informed decisions about how they live and ensuring their personal needs and aspirations are met.

Assist the Registered Manager with all aspects of running the service, including staff supervision, rotas, care planning, quality assurance, training, finances and medication management.

Monitor activities and ensure the quality of support and care is in line with Glenholme policies, procedures and relevant regulatory standards.

Promote a proactive culture of team development, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Support the delivery of person-centred care that promotes independence, dignity, choice and inclusion.

Work collaboratively with families, professionals and other stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes for the people we support.

Support the implementation of Positive Behaviour Support strategies where required.

Ensure staff understand and follow individual support plans, risk assessments and relevant care documentation.

Assist with maintaining a safe, positive and inclusive environment for both the people we support and the staff team.

Demonstrate the ability to represent the organisation in an appropriate and professional manner in all internal and external relationships.
- A minimum of 1 year's experience as a Deputy Manager within a service supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism or associated complex needs.

Currently hold or be working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.

A relevant health or social care qualification or other professional qualification, such as Nursing, Occupational Therapy or Social Work, would be desirable.

An up-to-date knowledge of best practice in supporting individuals with behaviours of distress, utilising a Positive Behaviour Support approach.

Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.

The ability to motivate, support and develop a team.

A person-centred approach and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of the people we support.

Willingness to work flexibly on a rota to meet the needs of the service, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
