What You’ll Be Doing
We are looking for an organised, proactive, and people-focused People Services Administrator to join our People Services team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in HR within a fast-paced professional football environment. Supporting the full employee lifecycle, you will provide high-quality administrative support across recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, learning and development, compliance, and wider people initiatives.
Working closely with the People Services Manager and wider People Team, you will help ensure an excellent employee experience while maintaining accurate records and supporting key HR processes across both the Club and Foundation.
Key Responsibilities:
People Administration
Provide professional, confidential administrative support across all areas of the People function.
Prepare employment-related documentation including contracts, letters, and employee communications.
Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files.
Support HR processes throughout the employee lifecycle.
Recruitment & Onboarding
Support recruitment administration and candidate onboarding activities.
Coordinate pre-employment checks, including references, right to work checks, and DBS applications.
Ensure new starters are onboarded efficiently and professionally.
Support casual worker onboarding and compliance requirements.
Employee Records & Compliance
Maintain accurate information within HR systems.
Ensure safeguarding records and the central compliance register are kept up to date.
Support GDPR compliance and confidential information management.
Produce reports, data, and HR metrics when required.
Employee Engagement & Recognition
Coordinate employee recognition schemes and milestone awards.
Support employee engagement initiatives and wellbeing activities.
Assist with the organisation of team events and colleague communications.
Contribute to creating a positive employee experience.
Learning & Development
Coordinate learning and development activities and training sessions.
Support training bookings, attendance monitoring, and evaluation processes.
Assist with maintaining training records and compliance data.
General HR Support
Manage the People inbox and respond to enquiries or direct them appropriately.
Take minutes during formal meetings and produce associated documentation.
Support disciplinary, sickness absence, and employee relations administration.
Monitor and support probation review processes.
Assist with wider People Team projects and initiatives as required.

Experience coordinating multiple tasks and deadlines.
Knowledge & Skills
Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Understanding of recruitment and onboarding processes.
Understanding of confidentiality and GDPR principles.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of an organisation.
Desirable
Experience working within HR, People Services, or a similar administrative function.
Experience using HR systems and databases.
Knowledge of safeguarding requirements within employment settings.
Experience supporting learning and development activities.
Working towards or interested in pursuing a CIPD qualification.
