Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Football Coach to support our sports programme. The successful candidate will assist in training sessions, help develop players’ skills, and contribute to fostering a positive team environment. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about sports coaching and teaching to gain valuable experience within a dynamic educational setting.
Duties
- Assist in planning and delivering training sessions tailored to different age groups and skill levels
- Support the head coach in developing game strategies and team tactics
- Provide individual guidance and feedback to players to enhance their performance
- Help organise team practices, matches, and events in accordance with organisational policies
- Promote sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork among players
- Monitor player progress and communicate updates to the coaching staff
- Ensure the safety of all participants during training and matches by adhering to health and safety guidelines
Experience
- Previous experience in sports coaching or teaching, preferably within a football environment
- Strong understanding of football rules, techniques, and training methods
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships with players, staff, and parents
- Passion for youth development through sport and commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment
Pay: £12.67-£20.00 per hour
