Our lawyers offer advice and assistance in dispute resolution and litigated cases and regularly acts in reported cases in the High Court and the Court of Appeal. The Litigation team is equipped to take swift action to protect our client’s interests and offer the best representation for any court action.
- You will be professional with a pro-active approach, strong client care skills and a sensitive and sympathetic understanding of clients’ needs.
- Manage all aspects of professional negligence litigation, providing technical expertise and guidance to colleagues where appropriate.
- You will be attending clients, taking instructions and preparing cases.
- Dealing with correspondence and managing a challenging case-load of clients’ matters from inception to completion.
- Preparing draft documents including witness statements and processing evidence and attending conferences and court.
- You will be maintaining accurate time costing procedures.
- You will be implementing any recommendations made by your supervisor following monthly file reviews ensuring that these are dealt with promptly.
- Must hold a clean, valid Practising Certificate at the time of application.
- Collaborative team player who adapts well to new challenges.
- Proven expertise in professional negligence claims, including CPR Rules, pre-action protocols, investigations, settlement discussions, and mediation.
- Extensive litigation background across private practice and publicly funded work, with the ability to manage and service privately funded cases effectively.
- Excellent client care skills, with the ability to handle sensitive matters and resolve complex issues.
- Strong networking and communication skills, with the ability to market the firm and generate new business.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently, exercising sound judgment and initiative.
- Advocacy experience is advantageous.
- Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and document management systems.
