Role Description The Technical Field Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Manchester. This role oversees day-to-day technical operations on residential construction sites, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with design specifications and quality standards. Responsibilities include supervising field teams made up of multiskilled tradespeople, coordinating technical support, monitoring project progress, conducting site inspections, and resolving technical issues. The Technical Field Supervisor collaborates closely with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers, communicates updates and risks, and ensures compliance with building regulations and company policies. The role also involves maintaining accurate documentation, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and promoting a culture of safety and quality on all sites.
Qualifications
- Strong Supervisory Skills and Team Management abilities to lead field staff and coordinate onsite activities effectively.
- Solid Analytical Skills to interpret reports/ drawings/inspections , assess site conditions, and solve complex construction and technical issues.
- Clear and professional Communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Hands-on Technical Support experience in construction or building services, with the ability to guide teams on technical procedures and standards.
- Proven experience in residential construction or property development, preferably in a supervisory or site management capacity.
- Knowledge of UK building regulations, health and safety standards, and construction best practices.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Manchester, manage multiple priorities, and remain calm under pressure.
- Relevant technical or construction-related qualification
- Proficiency with basic IT tools and construction-related software for reporting, scheduling, and documentation.
Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
