We are currently recruiting a Mobile Cook to cover in Northallerton, Catterick, Leyburn and surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is reliable, enjoys variety and looking for a flexible working pattern.
You'll travel between schools, taking in the stunning North Yorkshire landscape along the way. From the dramatic Yorkshire Dales and bustling towns to picturesque market towns, peaceful countryside and rolling North Yorkshire Moors, you'll work in some of the region's most beautiful surroundings.
What You'll Be Doing
No two days are the same in this varied role. You’ll work as part of a friendly and supportive team no matter which school you are covering on any given shift.
You'll be responsible for:
- Preparing and cooking fresh, nutritious school meals using locally sourced ingredients
- Supporting and leading kitchen teams when required
- Serving meals to pupils and staff in a friendly and professional manner
- Managing food orders and stock levels
- Maintaining excellent standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety
- Completing food safety records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
Typical hours between 7.30am and 2.00pm. No evening or weekend working
As a Mobile Cook, you'll travel between schools, helping us deliver a high-quality catering service wherever cover is needed. You will be required to use your own personal vehicle with business insurance, a mileage allowance of 55p per mile, plus travel time is also paid.
