Job Purpose
To provide first -line IT support to colleagues across the business while developing technical skills.
The role will support users with common IT issues, provide excellent customer service, create documentation and learn industry’s best practices under the guidance of the IT team.
Apprenticeship Overview
Expected duration: 13-15 months plus 3 months EPA
Apprenticeship level: Level 3 (advanced)
Programme: Information Communication Technician
During this apprenticeship, you will follow a fully supported training programme with LearnTech, delivered through combined weekly remote classroom-based training, workplace assessment/training and online learning working towards completing the IT Support Technician standard.

Key responsibilities:
· Act as the first point of contact for IT support requests via phone, email, and the IT ticketing system.
· Log, categorise, prioritise, and update IT support tickets, ensuring all information is accurate.
· Provide first -line support for common IT issues, including password resets, account unlocks,
· Microsoft 365 queries, and basic hardware troubleshooting.
· Escalate more complex technical issues to senior members of the IT team where required.
· Keep users informed on the progress of support requests while delivering excellent customer service.
· Set up, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and other IT equipment for employees.
· Support new starter and leaver processes by preparing devices, user accounts, and system access.
· Assist with user account administration, including creating, updating, and removing access permissions.
· Install approved software, perform updates, and assist with routine system maintenance under supervision.
· Maintain accurate records of IT support activities, asset inventories, and equipment within the IT Service Management (ITSM) system.
· Create and update IT knowledge base articles, user guides, and technical documentation.
· Follow company IT policies, security procedures, and data protection requirements always.
· Complete all apprenticeship training, coursework, and assessments within agreed timescales.
· Participate in training sessions, team meetings, and development activities while supporting continuous improvement within the IT function.
Requirements
It is a requirement to have five GCSE 9-4 grades or equivalent (including English and Maths) to apply for this type of apprenticeship. If you do not have these grades but have completed numeracy and literacy Key Skills/Functional Skills at level two you may also apply for these apprenticeships.

· Hold valid residency status
· Have the right to work in the UK
