Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Presser Hofman to join our team. This role involves operating pressing equipment to ensure high-quality fabric finishing, primarily within the hospitality or textile industry. Responsibilities
- Operate pressing machines and related equipment efficiently and safely to produce crisp, well-finished textiles.
- Inspect finished items for quality, ensuring they meet company standards and client specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pressing area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist with the preparation of fabrics and linens for pressing, including folding and stacking finished products.
- Follow detailed instructions regarding fabric types, pressing temperatures, and finishing techniques.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly to supervisors.
- Support team members in achieving daily production targets while maintaining high standards of quality.
Skills
- Previous experience in a hotel or textile environment is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for quality finishing.
- Ability to operate pressing machinery safely and efficiently.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of fabric types and appropriate pressing techniques is advantageous.
