CNC Miller Programmer, Setter and Operator

Cordelle Talent Solutions is recruiting experienced CNC Miller Programmer/Setter/Operators for an established subcontract machining company in Rugby.
The company manufactures precision components for a variety of industries, including MOD-related work. Separate permanent positions are available on either the night shift or weekend shift.
The Role
You will be responsible for programming, setting and operating three-axis and four-axis CNC milling machines.
The machines use Siemens controls, although experienced candidates with strong Fusion 360 offline programming skills will also be considered.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines
- Working with three-axis and four-axis machines
- Programming online using Siemens controls
- Producing components from engineering drawings
- Selecting suitable tooling, speeds and feeds
- Proving out programs and making necessary adjustments
- Inspecting completed components to ensure required tolerances are achieved
- Maintaining consistently high standards of quality
- Working independently during night or weekend shifts
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Previous experience as a CNC Miller Programmer, Setter and Operator
- Experience programming CNC milling machines
- Siemens control experience or strong Fusion 360 offline programming experience
- Experience operating three-axis CNC milling machines
- Four-axis milling experience would be advantageous
- The ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Good knowledge of tooling, speeds and feeds
- The ability to inspect finished components accurately
- A reliable and quality-focused approach
Night-Shift Positions
Monday to Thursday, 5:00pm–5:00am
- 48 hours per week
- £27.50–£28.75 per hour
- Equivalent to approximately £68,640–£71,760 per year
- Overtime may be offered at the employer’s discretion
Weekend-Shift Positions
Friday to Sunday, 7:00am–7:00pm
These are separate permanent weekend positions and do not rotate with the night shift.
- 36 hours per week
- £27.50–£28.75 per hour
- Equivalent to approximately £51,480–£53,820 per year
- Overtime may be offered at the employer’s discretion
