Electrician – New Build Apartments – Bristol & Bath

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit experienced, self-motivated Electricians to join our residential team working on large new-build apartment developments across Bristol and Bath.
We have opportunities available on both an employed and self-employed basis, with long-term ongoing work available.
The role will predominantly involve 1st and 2nd fixing new-build apartments, along with associated communal electrical installation works.
Rates from £200–£300 per day depending on experience, employment basis and productivity, with hourly and price-work opportunities available.
Main Duties / Responsibilities
- Carry out 1st and 2nd fix electrical installation works within new-build apartments.
- Install cables, containment, back boxes and associated wiring in accordance with electrical drawings and specifications.
- Carry out 2nd fix installation of sockets, switches, lighting, consumer units and associated electrical accessories.
- Wire and connect smoke alarms, ventilation systems and other associated apartment electrical services.
- Carry out electrical installation works within communal areas where required.
- Read and work accurately from electrical drawings, layouts and specifications.
- Ensure installations are completed to a high standard of workmanship and in accordance with the project programme.
- Identify and report any drawing, design or installation issues to the Site Supervisor or Project Manager.
- Complete snagging and remedial works where required.
- Work efficiently both independently and as part of the wider site electrical team.
- Coordinate effectively with other trades and site management.
- Strictly adhere to all Health & Safety procedures, site rules and relevant industry standards.
- Ensure all electrical work is completed in accordance with BS 7671, manufacturers' instructions and company procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe and tidy working area.
Required Qualifications / Experience
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- AM2.
- City & Guilds 2382 – current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
- Current ECS/JIB Gold Card.
- Previous experience carrying out 1st and 2nd fix electrical installations.
- Experience working on new-build housing or apartment developments is preferred.
- Ability to read and work from electrical drawings.
- Good standard of workmanship and attention to detail.
- Reliable, self-motivated and able to work effectively to programme.
Desirable
- City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent Inspection & Testing qualification.
- Previous experience working on large-scale apartment developments.
Location
Projects are predominantly located across Bristol and Bath.
Pay & Benefits
