Overview
We are seeking an experienced and professional Senior Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. This pivotal role involves managing patient interactions, coordinating appointments, and ensuring the smooth operation of the reception area. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a friendly demeanour to provide exceptional service to our patients. Prior office and administrative experience in a dental setting is highly desirable. The successful applicant will be an integral part of our team, contributing to a welcoming environment and efficient practice management.
Duties
- Greeting patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
- Managing appointment scheduling, confirmations, and rescheduling with precision
- Handling patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently
- Maintaining accurate patient records and updating information as needed
- Answering phone calls, responding to enquiries, and directing calls appropriately
- Managing correspondence, including emails and postal mail
- Assisting with billing procedures and processing payments accurately
- Supporting the dental team with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management
- Ensuring the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and organised at all times
- Upholding confidentiality and adhering to data protection regulations
Qualifications
- Proven office experience, preferably within a healthcare or dental environment
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in dental practice management software is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Friendly, professional demeanour with a customer-focused approach
- Previous experience in a senior or supervisory reception role is desirable
The role will also have the option for growing into long term managerial responsibilities and previous experience with HR / marketing would be highly desirable

Monday -8.30 - 5pm
Tuesday 8.30 - 5pm
Wednesday 8.30 - 5pm
Thursday 8.30- 8pm
Friday 8.30- 1pm
Pay: £14.50-£16.00 per hour
