Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Maintenance Coordinator to oversee and coordinate maintenance activities within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, ensuring that all maintenance tasks are executed efficiently and safely. As the Maintenance Coordinator, you’ll oversee all maintenance and compliance across our managed portfolio. You’ll be responsible for ensuring every property is safe, compliant, and well-maintained, while keeping landlords and tenants fully informed throughout the process.
This is a varied, fast-paced role ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, multitasking, and taking ownership of their work.
Duties
- Manage and respond to maintenance requests from tenants and landlords.
- Source quotes and liaise with contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective repairs.
- Book, schedule and track maintenance jobs from start to completion.
- Carry out routine property inspections and prepare detailed inspection reports.
- Arrange and conduct tenancy check-ins and check-outs, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
- Review inventory reports and identify any maintenance issues, damages, or compliance concerns.
- Follow up on inspection findings and arrange any required remedial works.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance, inspections, and compliance activities.
- Track and renew safety certificates, including:
- EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Reports)
- Gas Safety Certificates (CP12)
- EPCs (Energy Performance Certificates)
- Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm Checks
- Raise and process invoices, ensuring all costs are recorded and approved correctly.
- Maintain up-to-date property compliance logs and contractor databases.
- Ensure all works are completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
- Provide regular updates to landlords and tenants, ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
- Assist with general property management administration and portfolio management tasks as required.
Experience
- Previous experience in property management, maintenance coordination, inspections, or estate agency is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication skills with a professional and approachable manner.
- Good understanding of property compliance requirements (EICR, Gas Safety, EPCs, etc.).
- Numerically confident and comfortable raising invoices, reviewing quotations, and tracking costs.
- Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload.
- Full UK driving licence preferred for property inspections and visits.
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
