1. About the Role
Road to Success (R2S) is looking for a passionate Creative and Digital Media Tutor to join our Brighton team, delivering the OCN London Level 1 Certificate in Creative and Digital Media to students aged 14–16. You will bring your own industry experience into the classroom, teaching and inspiring students while supporting their wider social and emotional development. This is a rewarding opportunity for a creative and digital media professional who wants to pass on their skills to the next generation.

3. Essential Requirements
- Vocational competence: significant hands-on experience working in the creative and digital media industry (e.g. animation, web design, graphic design, digital content production, or a related field).
- Teaching and Assessors qualifications (e.g. PTTLS, Assessors award etc) are hugely beneficial but not required — full training and support will be provided.
- Enhanced DBS will be required.
4. Principal Roles and Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Creative and Digital Media vocational training sessions in line with the OCN London Level 1 Certificate curriculum and awarding body standards.
- Draw on your own industry experience to give students practical, up-to-date, real-world skills and knowledge, including the safe and effective use of industry-standard software, equipment and technology.
- Be confident to manage challenging behaviour and understand behaviour as a form of communication.
- Be a committed team player, working closely with Learning Support Assistants and other staff to meet the needs of all students.
- Support the emotional and social development of students, reporting any concerns to the Safeguarding Lead.
- Prepare resources and set up the studio/training environment ready for each session, ensuring health and safety standards are maintained.
- Assess and provide reports on student progress as and when required.
- Prioritise daily record keeping detailing student support needs and progression.
- Update provision maps and understand the support needs of your allocated students.
- Develop knowledge of the needs of learners in your class and seek advice from the Centre Manager where needed.
- Provide regular feedback to the Centre Manager and outside agencies about your students' difficulties and progress.
