We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Cook to lead our culinary team. The Head Cook will play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency within our hospitality setting on a residential Care Home
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all aspects of food preparation and production in the kitchen.
- Lead and manage the culinary team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure smooth operations.
- Oversee food safety practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations and company policies.
- Plan menus in collaboration with the management team, considering customer preferences and seasonal ingredients.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and safety within the kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Foster a positive team culture centred on professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a food production or hospitality environment.
- Extensive kitchen experience including food preparation, cooking, and food safety management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations pertinent to the hospitality industry.
- Experience working in restaurants or similar establishments is highly desirable.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and management.
- A passion for culinary arts and delivering outstanding customer experiences.
