Are you a university student looking to earn some extra money? Looking for casual weekend work? Or perhaps you simply love unique events and want to be part of creating unforgettable experiences?
We're looking for enthusiastic, friendly and reliable Casual Event Staff to join our growing team. As one of the faces of North Orion Events, you'll play an important role in ensuring every visitor, stallholder and guest speaker has an amazing experience from start to finish.
About the Role
This is a casual, flexible role working on an as-and-when required basis. We don’t just throw people into the deep end, we give you enough notice, training and an event brief.
- Saturday and/or Sunday working
- Up to 6 hours per event
- Weekend availability is essential
Locations
Our events are currently held in Wakefield, with exciting plans to expand into Leeds and York next year.
Full online training will be provided before your first event.
What You'll Be Doing
- Every event is different, so no two days are the same! Duties may include:
- Welcoming visitors and checking tickets using our event ticketing system.
- Providing excellent customer service and answering visitor queries.
- Greeting and supporting our stallholders and guest speakers.
- Assisting with event setup and pack down.
- Helping ensure the event runs safely and smoothly.
- Representing North Orion Events with professionalism, enthusiasm and positivity.

Pay
We believe in rewarding our team fairly and proudly pay above the National Minimum Wage.
21 and over
£15.00 per hour
18–20
£12.50 per hour
Under 18 (above school leaving age)
£10.00 per hour
