As a Warehouse Operative, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment handling multiple incoming and outgoing deliveries daily. You will be part of a close-knit team where collaboration, accuracy, and efficiency are essential to keeping operations running smoothly.
We are looking for a motivated and reliable individual who is collaborative and works well within a team. You will have a keen eye for detail, strong computer literacy, and previous experience working with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or ERP system.
Responsibilities
- Handling materials efficiently, including loading and unloading goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts.
- Managing shipping and receiving processes to ensure accurate documentation and timely dispatch of items.
- Picking and packing orders with precision to meet customer specifications.
- Stocking shelves and organising inventory within the warehouse to optimise space utilisation.
- Operating warehouse management systems (WMS) to track stock levels, locations, and movements.
- Conducting quality control checks to maintain high standards of product integrity.
- Performing mechanical tasks related to equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Assisting with stock rotation, replenishment, and inventory counts as required.
- Ensuring health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times during daily operations.
Skills
- Proficiency in materials handling techniques and familiarity with forklift operation (training provided if necessary).
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory movements.
- Strong organisational skills for stocking and maintaining orderly storage areas.
- Attention to detail for quality control checks and accurate order fulfilment.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and load/unload activities, ensuring safety standards are met at all times.
Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
