We're looking for an experienced Regional Facilities Manager to join our Property Team, supporting a portfolio of early years nurseries across the region.
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll be responsible for ensuring our nurseries are safe, compliant and exceptionally well maintained, working closely with Nursery Managers, contractors and our wider Property Team to keep our buildings operating at their very best.
If you enjoy managing multiple sites, building strong relationships and making a visible impact every day, we'd love to hear from you.
You'll take ownership of a regional portfolio of nurseries, ensuring our properties remain compliant, operational and welcoming for our children, families and colleagues.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites.
Carrying out regular property inspections and identifying improvement opportunities.
Overseeing statutory compliance, including fire safety, building maintenance and health & safety requirements.
Managing external contractors and ensuring works are completed safely, on time and to a high standard.
Supporting nursery refurbishments, acquisitions and expansion projects.
Monitoring regional maintenance budgets and delivering value for money.
Building strong relationships with Nursery Managers, landlords and external stakeholders.
Producing compliance and maintenance reports while proactively managing risks.
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent communication and organisational skills.
You'll ideally have:
IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent).
Experience managing facilities across multiple locations.
Strong knowledge of property compliance, health & safety legislation, fire safety and planned maintenance.
Experience managing contractors and service providers.
Excellent planning, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the region.
NEBOSH General Certificate.
Membership of IOSH, IWFM or another relevant professional body.
Experience within childcare, education, healthcare, hospitality or another highly regulated environment.
Knowledge of asbestos management, Legionella, gas safety and electrical compliance.
Working within early years means your work has a real purpose. Every maintenance project completed, every compliance check carried out and every improvement you deliver helps create safe, inspiring environments where children can learn, play and flourish.
In return, you'll enjoy a varied role with plenty of autonomy, the opportunity to influence standards across multiple sites and the chance to be part of a supportive team committed to continuous improvement.
