What you'll be doing
You'll be part of a small, close-knit crew delivering high quality grounds maintenance across a mixed portfolio of clients including schools, care homes, retail parks, sports facilities and community spaces. No two days are the same.
Typical work includes:
- Mowing, edging and fertilising lawns
- Strimming and brush cutting
- Weeding, mulching and planting
- Hedge, shrub and small tree trimming
- Path clearance and site tidying
- Travel across South Wales and beyond
Who you are
Essential:
- Full UK driving licence
- Strimmer/Brushcutter ticket
- Lawnmower ticket (ride-on and pedestrian)
- Hedge cutter
- Solid experience in professional grounds maintenance
- Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor work in all seasons
- Reliable, punctual and take pride in your work
Desirable:
- PA1 and PA6 spraying tickets
- Chainsaw tickets (CS30/31)
- Experience working across multi-site contracts
What we offer
Pay and progression
- £13.45 to £15.00 per hour, with clear progression based on skills, tickets and experience
- Overtime paid at enhanced rates (time and a half, and double time on Sundays and bank holidays)

- 28 days holiday including bank holidays
- Additional holiday for long service (extra days after 5 years, up to 5 additional days at 10 years)

The practical bits
- Start time: 07:15 at the yard, ready to leave for site
- Base: Pantrhiwgoch Farm, Michaelston-y-Fedw, Cardiff
- Working days: Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work available at overtime rates
- Probation: 6 month probation period with structured reviews at 30 days, 3 months, 5 months and 6 months, so you always know where you stand
