At Vertu, we're expanding our Parts Contact Centre team in Gateshead and are looking for an experienced Motor Trade Parts Advisor to help deliver an exceptional service to our retail customers.
This role offers a basic salary of £30,287, working 43.17 hours per week, with excellent work-life balance benefits including:
- Only 1 in 3 Saturdays (8:30am – 12:30pm)
- 3:00pm finish every other Friday
- Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.30pm
- Hybrid working available following successful completion of probation and once the required knowledge level has been achieved

About the Role
As a Parts Advisor within our Contact Centre, you'll be the first point of contact for retail customers seeking expert parts advice and support. You'll handle inbound enquiries, identify and source the correct parts and accessories, provide pricing and availability information, process orders, and liaise with dealerships across the Vertu network to ensure customers receive an outstanding service.
You'll also respond to enquiries received through our online channels and play an important role in maximising sales opportunities through excellent product knowledge and customer service.
- Accurately identify and supply the correct parts to meet customer requirements
- Provide advice on product availability, pricing and suitable alternatives
- Process customer orders efficiently and accurately
- Liaise with dealerships across the Group to ensure smooth supply and fulfilment
- Identify and maximise upselling opportunities
- Record and report lost sales opportunities
- Promote current product offers and campaigns
- Maintain a strong knowledge of parts, accessories, systems and manufacturer updates through ongoing training
To be considered for this role, you must have previous Parts Advisor experience within the motor trade.
You will also have:
- A good understanding of vehicle parts and vehicle layouts
- Experience using parts catalogues and stock management systems
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- The ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Experience with CDK (Kerridge) DMS would be advantageous
