Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Manager to join our team. The Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes within Boran Mopack Ltd, ensuring that our products meet both internal and external standards. This role requires a strong analytical mindset and a thorough understanding of HACCP principles to maintain compliance and enhance product quality.
The successful candidate will manage our Quality Management System and ensure all company procedures and customer requirements are met. They will also be a key member throughout our external audits (such as ISO 9001 and BRC).
Duties & Responsibilities of the position include (but are not limited to):
- Continuously review Quality Control Processes and Procedures to meet Quality requirements and make recommendations for improvements as appropriate.
- Ensure that Manufacturing and Production Processes meet all Company Standards i.e. ISO 9001/2015 and BRC/IOP, and conduct relevant Audits and accompanying paperwork.
- Implement and maintain all relevant paperwork relating to Quality Management Systems.
- Manage all aspects of Customer and Supplier Non-Conformances (internal and external). Ensuring a full investigation takes place to establish the root cause and corrective and preventative action.
- Complete any correspondence and communication with our customers to a high standard and deliver responses promptly.
- Complete required Quality Tests to suit the needs of the business.
- Ensure all Production Quality Checks, as determined by the Quality Management System, are being adhered to.
- Ensure all products returned adhere to the current Returns Procedure.
- Prepare non-conformance reports and present trends, recurring issues, etc. to managing directors.
- Organise regular meetings with Production Managers, to review non-conformance issues and work with relevant Depts to find solutions to ongoing Quality Issues.
- Attend Daily Production Meetings and Maintenance Meetings and distribute Minutes.
- Provide ongoing training to new and existing employees, to ensure Quality Standards are met.
- Oversee customer visits and external factory audits, including ISO, BRC, SEDEX & Ecovadis external Auditors.
- Manage calibration of relevant Quality instruments.
- Involved in continuous improvement projects and teams. Use of LEAN principles and tools to aid improvements to our product, processes and quality systems.
The role may also lead into other areas of the business, which include Health and Safety and Environmental, where the successful candidate could contribute to the following:
- Be part of a Health & Safety Committee, ensuring all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
- Complete a regular review of risk assessments for work activities.
- Complete safety inspections, including documented health & safety inspections/audits, ensure fire drills and fire alarm records are maintained.
- Maintain and improve Boran Mopack Ltd’s Environmental Management System.
- Conduct environmental audits and risk assessments and report on Environmental KPIs.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance our sustainability projects.
- Identify potential environmental risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Act as a liaison between the company and regulatory bodies, community groups, and other stakeholders.
- Recognise and identify potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed.
Experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with different departments.
- Confidentiality in all matters.
- Experience completing external audits.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Previous experience leading a team.
- Previous experience within a similar role (3 years preferred).
- Relevant Higher Education degree (preferred, not essential).
- Knowledge of quality control procedures, standards, and regulations (ISO 9001, HACCP, BRC).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Salary: Dependant on Experience
