Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive the right parts and accessories for their needs. This position requires strong organisational skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. As a Parts Advisor, you will be responsible for managing inventory, assisting customers with their inquiries, and maintaining an efficient parts department. Training will be provided.
Duties
- Assist customers in identifying and sourcing the correct parts for their vehicles or equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure that stock levels are optimised.
- Communicate effectively with customers both in person and over the phone, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Process orders and manage deliveries of parts to ensure timely fulfilment of customer requests.
- Utilise Excel to track inventory data and generate reports as needed.
- Organise the parts department to ensure a clean, efficient workspace that promotes productivity.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide seamless service to customers.
- Stay updated on product knowledge and industry trends to better assist customers.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a parts advisory or similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Proficiency in Excel for data management and reporting purposes.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
