Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate brunch Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with the ability to supervise kitchen staff and manage a dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring that our restaurant maintains high standards of food quality and presentation, while also fostering a positive and efficient kitchen environment.
Duties
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all food preparation meets quality standards.
- Supervise and assist kitchen staff in food production and preparation tasks.
- Develop and implement new recipes and menu items that reflect current culinary trends.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering their development in culinary skills.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standard, with attention to presentation and flavour.
Skills
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Proficient in food preparation techniques and culinary arts.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices within a kitchen environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with team members and management.
- A passion for hospitality and providing an exceptional dining experience for guests.
- Experience in a fast-paced restaurant setting is preferred, with a focus on high-quality food production.
