For over 30 years, YCT has supported the mental health of children and young people as a registered charity embedded in the heart of the local community. We are a well-established, respected and purpose-led organisation, continuing to grow in response to increasing need across West Essex and Hertfordshire.
We are expanding our network of self-employed therapists to work with children and young people aged 5–18 years in schools, community settings, outdoor environments and from YCT House in Harlow.
We would particularly like to hear from:
- Play Therapists
- Child & Adolescent Counsellors
- Child & Adolescent Therapists
- Arts Therapists
- Nature Therapists / Eco-Therapists
- CBT Therapists
- Integrative Therapists

Working Across West Essex and Hertfordshire
Schools, community venues, outdoor and nature-based settings and YCT House, Harlow.

We support children and young people experiencing a wide range of emotional and relational difficulties.
You Must
- Be suitably qualified to provide therapy to children and/or young people aged 5–18
- Hold professional registration with BACP, HCPC, BAPT, PTUK, BABCP, UKCP, NCS or an equivalent recognised professional body
- Hold an Enhanced DBS
- Hold appropriate professional indemnity insurance
- Be safeguarding trained
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Be committed to collaborative, systemic and reflective practice
- Be able to work independently while contributing to a supportive multidisciplinary team
