Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Health & Safety Manager to support our organization’s safety initiatives and ensure a secure, compliant, and healthy work environment. In this vital role, you will develop, implement, and oversee safety policies and procedures, conduct risk assessments, and promote a culture of safety awareness across two operational sites. Your expertise will help prevent accidents, respond effectively to emergencies, and foster continuous improvement in health and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Responsible to Group HSE Manager.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies aligned with legal regulations and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Lead incident investigations by performing root cause analysis to determine underlying issues and prevent recurrence.
- Coordinate emergency response procedures, including first aid protocols, fire drills, and evacuation plans.
- Prepare detailed report writing on safety incidents, inspections, audits, and compliance activities for management review.
- Deliver safety training sessions to educate employees on safe work practices, proper equipment use, and emergency procedures.
- Monitor compliance with health and safety legislation; keep records up-to-date for audits and inspections.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in health and safety management within a dynamic organizational environment.
- Certification in first aid is required; additional safety certifications are a plus.
- Strong report writing skills with the ability to document incidents, inspections, and corrective actions clearly.
- Expertise in root cause analysis techniques to identify underlying issues behind safety incidents.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively train staff and promote a culture of safety awareness.
- Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and emergency response planning.
