Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that encourages children's development and learning through play and exploration. This role is working in our Dawn (0-2 year) Room which holds 15 babies daily. Our ethos has a huge push on outdoor play and frequent outings so candidate must be willing to go outdoors in all weathers. This is set hours which are negotiable but ideally would be 3-4 days a week.
Duties
- Plan and implement engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of children aged 0-2 years.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere for all children, promoting their emotional and social development.
- Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and identifying areas for improvement.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their child's development and addressing any concerns.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive educational experience, sharing best practices and resources.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating learning environment that reflects the interests of the children.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and early years standards.
Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (e.g., Level 3 Diploma or equivalent).
- Proven experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
