Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Duct Fitter’s Mate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work alongside experienced duct fitters to assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC ductwork systems. Duties
- Support lead duct fitters in installing, assembling, and securing ductwork according to project specifications and schematics
- Assist with measuring, cutting, and fitting duct sections accurately for seamless system performance
- Help with the maintenance and repair of HVAC equipment, ensuring optimal operation during installation and service
- Handle materials, tools, and equipment efficiently to maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working at heights or in confined spaces
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues with duct systems or related HVAC components
- Contribute to site cleanup and preparation activities to ensure smooth workflow throughout each project phase
Must have CSCS skill card and public liability insurance
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems or construction processes is preferred
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams is a plus
- Previous construction experience or hands-on work in HVAC installation is advantageous
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various environmental conditions
- Willingness to learn about air conditioning systems, equipment repair, and maintenance procedures
- Demonstrated teamwork skills with an eagerness to develop leadership qualities over time
- Valid safety awareness certifications or willingness to obtain relevant safety training prior to startibig
