Job Purpose: To build and maintain Power BI reports for Logistics and Operations (Supply Chain, Inventory, Warehouse, Transport, Manufacturing) using pre-built certified semantic models.
The role will also lead continuous improvement measurement across these functions. To achieve this, the role will create and manage baseline metrics, outline opportunities from the data and track whether initiatives deliver.
Responsibilities:
Report Building
- Build Power BI reports as directed by operational managers.
- Translate business questions into objective reports, as directed by the Head of Operations
Continuous Improvement
- Baseline relevant operational metrics
- Track each initiative against its baseline and report whether it delivered the expected movement
- Surface and rank improvement opportunities from the data for operational owners to prioritise
- Take a proactive approach in identifying improvement and automation opportunities across the logistics function.
Data Quality
- Maintain data quality for all logistic function ERP inputs and report Outputs
- Flag data quality issues to the Analytics Function Partner
Essential Skills and Experience Required:
- Minimum two years' experience in building Power BI reports
- An understanding of operational KPIs across Supply Chain, Inventory, Warehouse, and Transport
- Ability to work with operational stakeholders and translate business questions into report designs
- Confidence baselining metrics and reporting objectively on whether an initiative delivered
Desired Skills and Experience Required:
- Experience in warehouse, logistics, or transport environments
- Experience with Business Central or similar ERP
- Exposure to continuous improvement or operational performance measurement
- Six Sigma Qualification
Personal Attributes:
- Comfortable working with operational data across multiple functions
- Patient with stakeholders who change requirements in a fast-moving business
- Proactive in identifying reporting improvements
- Objective and independent minded, able to report that an initiative did not work
