Are you a passionate leader with a background in Early Years education and management? You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Nursery. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and wants to make a difference in the lives of children while leading a team towards educational excellence. · Must have experience in Nursery Leadership and we will consider candidates ready to take on their first lead position.
· Minimum Level 3 childcare and education qualifications or equivalent is essential.
· Full time, all year round
· 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage staffing, induction, training, and development to ensure the highest standards of care.
· Oversee systems for accurate reporting, monitoring, and assessment of nursery activities.
· Manage occupancy levels and financial budgets to meet targets and ensure smooth operations.
· Ensure the accuracy and consistency of the Famly Childcare app.
· Have a thrive in self development to keep knowledge updated with changes of the EYFS, Ofsted and Borough expectations.
· Ensure all rooms comply with staff ratios and staffing deployment regulations.
· Take full responsibility for safeguarding and child protection to ensure the safety and well-being of all children.
· Lead the delivery of the EYFS curriculum and ensure it is effectively implemented across all age groups.
· Liaise with external professionals when necessary to support the development and needs of children.
· Be highly knowledgeable with SEND and have a passion in ensuring equality and diversity in implemented.
· Work closely with the SENDCo to support children with additional needs.
· Ensure the nursery follows a robust and safe recruitment process.
· Manage weekly staff rotas and attendance registers for both staff and children.
· Uphold and enforce the nursery's policies and procedures, ensuring a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment.
· Monitor and promote the physical health and well-being of all children in the nursery.
Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working our nurseries. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process.
