About the Role
Date Digital Lounge Ltd. is looking for a Digital Marketing Assistant to support the planning, creation, delivery, and monitoring of digital marketing campaigns from our Cardiff office.
In this entry-level role, you will work with marketing, content, design, and commercial teams to help promote the company’s services across websites, social media platforms, email campaigns, and other digital channels. You will assist with content preparation, campaign scheduling, audience engagement, market research, and basic performance reporting.
This position is suitable for recent graduates, career starters, and candidates with internship, freelance, academic, or personal project experience in marketing, digital media, communications, or content creation.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Support: Assist with the preparation, scheduling, and delivery of digital marketing campaigns across multiple online channels.
Social Media Management: Draft, schedule, and publish social media posts while helping monitor comments, messages, and audience engagement.
Content Creation: Support the production of written content, graphics, promotional materials, newsletters, landing pages, and campaign assets.
Website Updates: Help maintain website content, service pages, promotional banners, blog posts, and campaign information using content-management systems.
Email Marketing: Assist with preparing email campaigns, updating contact lists, checking links, reviewing layouts, and monitoring campaign results.
Market Research: Research competitors, customer preferences, digital trends, campaign ideas, and potential promotional opportunities.
Performance Reporting: Collect basic campaign data, including website traffic, engagement, click-through rates, enquiries, and conversions.
Search Optimisation: Support basic search engine optimisation activities, including keyword research, page updates, and content formatting.
Asset Coordination: Organise images, videos, written materials, brand files, and campaign documents using clear filing and naming procedures.
Administrative Support: Maintain marketing calendars, update campaign trackers, prepare meeting notes, and follow up on outstanding approvals.
Team Collaboration: Coordinate with designers, content creators, sales staff, external suppliers, and other internal stakeholders.
Quality Control: Review marketing materials for spelling, formatting, branding, accuracy, broken links, and missing information before publication.
What We Are Looking For
Education: Degree, diploma, apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, Business, Advertising, Journalism, or a related field.
Experience: Previous full-time employment is not required. Internships, university projects, volunteer work, freelance assignments, and personal digital projects are welcome.
Marketing Knowledge: Basic understanding of digital marketing, social media, branding, content creation, customer engagement, and online campaigns.
Technical Skills: Confidence using Microsoft Office or Google Workspace. Familiarity with Canva, WordPress, email-marketing tools, social media platforms, or analytics software is an advantage.
Writing Skills: Ability to prepare clear, accurate, and engaging content for websites, emails, social media posts, and promotional materials.
Organisation: Strong ability to manage several tasks, follow campaign schedules, maintain records, and meet deadlines.
Attention to Detail: Ability to identify content errors, inconsistencies, incorrect links, and formatting problems.
Analytical Ability: Comfortable reviewing basic campaign statistics and using results to support future marketing activities.
Communication: Professional written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to collaborate with different teams.
Mindset: Creative, dependable, organised, proactive, and willing to learn new marketing systems, platforms, and processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or project experience in marketing, social media, advertising, digital media, communications, or e-commerce
- Familiarity with social media scheduling and content-management platforms
- Basic knowledge of Google Analytics, search engine optimisation, or email marketing
- Experience creating simple graphics, videos, presentations, or promotional content
- Understanding of brand guidelines and audience targeting
- Interest in digital trends, online communities, and customer behaviour
Pay: £2,300.00-£2,500.00 per month
